Cat Shelter
Karin has always had a love for animals and she quickly became known as "the woman who helps animals".
Eventually her house could not accommodate anymore cats so she built a cat shelter in 2019.
The money earned by renting rooms and doing horse riding excursions goes to cover food, medicine, vet bills and maintenance on the cat shelter.

As at May 2026 there are 70 cats homed at La Hacienda Cat Shelter and the need is overwhelming. At this time Karin can not afford to rescue anymore animals. Karin accepts volunteers to help in exchange for a free bed, contact her on whats app if interested.
